HISTORY
North Italy Communications S.R.L. (NICom) was established and started its activities on February 24, 2000, through the initiative of its two founding partners, Dr. Gian Franco Piacentini and Ing. Gilberto Tognoni. It established its headquarters in Mantova, at Via Imre Nagy 9, with operational offices in Piacenza and Verona.
In the early years of activity, it mainly operated in the telecommunications sector (consulting, design, implementation, project management) and in the field of electronic technologies for roads and highways (consulting for innovative projects, coordination of European projects), utilizing both its specialized personnel and external experts.
After the untimely passing of Dr. Piacentini in 2007, the focus of the business shifted to the coordination and management of technology projects co-financed by the European Commission, aimed at applications in the field of transportation and road traffic.
In August 2024 the company relocates its headquarters to Mantova at Via Grazioli 34. Furthermore, Mr. Alessandro Iavicoli joins the company as a majority partner and CEO, having been an external collaborator for several years, particularly experienced in managing projects co-financed by the European Commission.
